“It must be impressed on every mind that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is sound, he is hale and healthy enough to take this country forward. Much more, he knows the issues and he knows how to tackle them.” ~ Abdulmumin Jibrin, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s DG #Bat2023
Six years after his passing, the memory of Senator Abiola Ajimobi remains etched in the minds of many Oyo residents.
One of the defining moments of his administration came during the re-launch of Operation Burst, when parts of Ibadan, particularly the Kudeti axis, were under siege from the notorious “One Million Boys” gang. At the launch, Ajimobi issued a bold challenge to the hoodlums, daring them to come out with their charms and test them against the AK-47s of security operatives 😂
It was a statement that reflected his firm stance against criminality and his determination to restore peace to Oyo State. Following the intensified security operations, normalcy gradually returned to Kudeti and surrounding communities, allowing residents to go about their daily lives without fear.
that fearless approach to leadership remains one of the many reasons Ajimobi is remembered as a governor who confronted insecurity head on and stood firmly on the side of law abiding citizens.

A trip through clouds to celebrate Madakin Mambila
The last 72 hours have been the most adventurous travel experiences of my life.
On Thursday, I flew from Kano to Abuja via Sokoto, before continuing to Jalingo the following day. Upon arriving at Jalingo Airport on Friday, our convoy embarked on another gruelling but breathtaking journey to Gembu to celebrate our friend, @Abdulrahmanleme, who was turbaned as the Madakin Mambila.
The higher we ascended the plateau, the colder the weather became. Nearing the summit, thick clouds drifted swiftly past our vehicle, creating a surreal atmosphere that felt almost otherworldly.
The English make much of the famous Sycamore Gap tree, but on the Mambila Plateau, I encountered countless trees with a similar cenimatic appearance. Along the way, herds of healthy-looking cattle grazed peacefully across vast stretches of lush green fields. In several places, crystal-clear spring water flowed endlessly from the hillsides. Tea plantations, bustling local markets and scattered villages dotted the landscape along the winding mountain roads. It truly felt like a world within a world.
Every place seems to have its signature vehicle, and on the Mambila Plateau, that honour appears to belong to Toyota Starlet (that butt-less mini car that has become extinct in Kano).
The 380-kilometre journey from Jalingo to Gembu took about eight hours. We stopped at least 3 times to either pray and refresh ourselves or simply admire the spectacular scenery that unfolded at every turn.
Gembu, often described as Nigeria's coldest town, enjoys a climate reminiscent of springtime in the United Kingdom. Like many parts of the UK, the charming town appears to have no mosquitoes, no flies (at least none that I noticed), no need for air-conditioners, no kidnapping or banditry, and er… no good roads!
Personal experiences may differ, but leadership shld be judged beyond emotions alone. Adelabu has proven capacity, experience, and vision that many believe can move Oyo State forward. Let’s focus on progress, competence, and the bigger picture for our people.#AdelabuDeclaration

Late Governor Abiola Ajimobi wasn’t just a leader, he was a master of words. An exceptional orator whose voice carried authority, clarity, and charm. Anytime he stepped up to speak, the atmosphere shifted to tense rooms relaxed, dull moments came alive, and audiences stayed locked in.
He had that rare gift, speaking with depth yet keeping it relatable, commanding attention without forcing it. His speeches didn’t just inform, they energized often leaving people inspired, amused, and fully engaged.
May his Soul continue to rest in peace 🕊️❤️
