And many more things?"
Helloooooo
Erectile dysfunction is a very complex medical condition.
It requires counselling and usually leads to management of other chronic and psychological conditions.
All of which may not always require medications like the blue pill.
See a doctor or a pharmacist for proper diagnosis and counselling with this issue.
Don't self diagnose!
Don't self medicate!!
Omeprazole is a very interesting drug.
It reduces ulcer pains by blocking the pumps that pump acid.
The moment you swallow it, it begins to swim in your body, into your blood and then finally into your stomach.
This entire journey takes somewhere between 30-60 minutes.
As for the acid pumps, the moment you chew food, your body produces them because your body detects there is need to digest something.
This is why you need to take omeprazole 30-60 minutes before food.
The idea is that if Omeprazole finishes it's journey through the blood and gets into your stomach at the 60minute mark, and you also eat around that time, it's like setting a trap for a rat.
The pumps are caught in the trap called Omeprazole and get destroyed.
So if you mess up that timing by taking it after food,
The omeprazole will still be swimming around by that time and when it gets to the stomach 60 minutes later, all the pumps have gone back to hide because they've already digested the food you ate.
Omeprazole will have nothing to do and then will get metabolized and kicked out (wasted) while you are still suffering from ulcer pains and heartburns.
It's with great pleasure that we share the Diabetes Management Guidelines recently approved for use by MOH Uganda.
This milestone is a key step toward improving the quality of life and outcomes of people living with diabetes in Uganda. We hope they are an invaluable resource.
Pharmacists, the last bus stop on the chain of healthcare
after you've gone to the lab for investigation, the doctor for diagnosis and prescription, the pharmacist dispenses the medications.
If he gets it wrong everybody in the chain is cooked and the patient is lost, if he gets it right when all others got it wrong, everyone in the chain is saved and the patient is saved.
If you see a pharmacist, give them their flowers.
Med students, listen up! Today let me explain how to analyze a Liver Function Test (LFT) step by step.
Stop looking at isolated HIGH or LOW flags on a lab report. You need to look at the patterns. Here is how you actually read an LFT panel like a CONSULTANT 👇 (1/10)
KITCHEN SPICES YOU SHOULD STOP OVERUSING FROM TODAY
These spices are very tasty and sweet.
Some of them are specifically beneficial, but TOO much of them can cost you as much as a kidney.
Here are the ones to use moderately:
