Marco Rubio with one of the greatest speeches by a Sec of State in decades:
"We are prepared to do this alone but it is our preference, and our hope, to do this together with you, our friends in Europe.
America was founded 250 years ago, but the roots began here on this continent long before. The men who settled and built the nation of my birth arrived on our shores carrying the memories, the traditions, and the Christian faith of our ancestors as a sacred inheritance, an unbreakable link between the old world and the new.
We are part of one civilization, Western civilization. We are bound to one another by the deepest bonds that nations could share, forged by centuries of shared history, Christian faith, culture, heritage, language, ancestry, and the sacrifices our forefathers made together for the common civilization to which we have now fallen heir.
And if at times we disagree, our disagreements come from our profound sense of concern about a Europe with which we are connected, not just economically, not just militarily. We are connected spiritually and we are connected culturally. We want Europe to be strong. We believe that Europe and the West must survive."
Although I don't like how some cities with Democratic party monopolies arbitrarily removed statues they did not like, I personally really like the the fact that the state of Virginia now is represented by two great Christians: G. Washington and Ms Johns. https://t.co/Wdx3WfWJP7
For two generations the church in the West has looked at culture & said, “Not my job.” We’ve abandoned the biblical worldview of advancing the Kingdom of Christ, on earth, for escapism, retreatism & pietism. The City of God was shunted into another world for another time and in its place the City of Man has prospered. Whoever cultivates the culture forms the future.
Deuteronomy 30:15
“See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil. Choose.”
President Trump shares a message on the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
“I ask all Americans to commit themselves to the American values for which Charlie Kirk lived & died. The values of free speech, citizenship, the rule of law & the patriotic devotion & love of God.”
I saw this video this morning on my feed and I think it so eloquently explains what Charlie Kirk was put on this earth to do.
“When people stop talking, that’s when you get violence, that is when civil war happens”
Today is the 250th anniversary of the first shots fired in Lexington, Massachusetts that started the American war for independence. I had an encounter with God on Lexington Green in July of 1979. https://t.co/cF3y9du0Al
