Pieces of #BC transit history being unearthed on Robson St as major roadwork continues near Bute-Robson Plaza. City crews pulling up old streetcar line rails & ties, piling them near the sidewalks. Vancouver’s last streetcar ran in 1955. ⁦@GlobalBC⁩ ⁦⁦@CKNW⁩

Unable to clear the road, disabled streetcars proved a headache for traffic and Key System dispatchers alike.

Often, wrecker #1011 and tool car #1014 were sent to rescue stranded cars, such as this incident in Downtown Oakland.

Today, both #1011 and #1014 are preserved by us!
