We love our non-profit partners. Today, https://t.co/1qoFzsj9iB came by to drop off a huge donation of brand new men’s t-shirts, underwear, and socks. Perfect timing! Thanks to David Hall and Tommie Wingate from LOR for making this delivery.
Thank you to the @CountyLex for donating this 2011 Ford Crown Victoria to Transitions. The vehicle will be used to enhance our outreach effort, through which we seek to engage people, offer them support, and encourage them to utilize the services Transitions has to offer.
Jim is a client artist in this year’s Reconstructing Home Art Show and Auction on October 21. He says that while he has sold his work in the past, he wanted to donate these pieces to Transitions to give back for all the care and assistance he has received as a client.
As the temperature rises, the homeless community’s risk of heat-related illness and injury rises as well. Transitions can provide an oasis to 300-350 men and women during the hottest times of day. Please consider helping us beat the heat by donating bags of ice or bottled water.
As we celebrate July 4th, we think of our homeless clients who fought for the freedoms that we enjoy. In 2020 Transitions provided services to nearly 340 veterans. Working with other agencies, Transitions shows our clients that our community cares and appreciates their service.
@TheHive_Project has been BUZZING around! “Midday with the Hive” is a conversation about healthy relationships, boundaries, and consent. We also look forward to the new “Queens Gather” class, which will help women overcome the impact of trauma from abuse.
Robert is a former client who was permanently housed and has been employed for nearly a year. Now, in his free time, he volunteers in the kitchen with the staff who formerly fed him. It brings him joy to express his gratitude and pay it forward.
In an effort to help more clients transition out of homelessness, we are excited to announce 2 new storage units at Transitions. The storage units provide much-needed storage space to provide clients with housewares when they are ready to take the big step into permanent housing.
Did you know the Paul Mitchell School is partnering with Transitions’ Career Center, to give haircuts to clients scheduled for a job interview? Our Career Center also partners with SC Works, the VA, and other agencies to give our clients training, resources, & opportunities.
Transitions would like to congratulate our 2021 Faith-Based Organization of the Year, Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Under the leadership of Dr. Brad Smith, Eastminster’s congregation serves our clients in many ways. Thank You, Pastor Brad and Eastminster!
