@zingword I always ask clients to pay me up front if they are an individual not a company. Ditto for new corporate clients. I only allowing invoicing for longer periods with translation agencies and certain corporate clients
@ITI_IDC_Network@ITIUK Hi I specialise in this sector, and have been focusing on this topic today so I am happy to stumble on your post! Is the network for ITI members only? thank you
@Edenburgh1985 The importance of knowing specialised terminology should never be underestimated for interpreting and translation! Wishing you well for the presentation.
Visited the superb Anderton Boat Lift in #Northwich. Discovered that French technical language is used to describe its amazing hydraulic system. The water tanks that power it are known as "caissons" (box, casing, tanks in French). #Cheshire#xl8#translation

@sahorcas For a different day, I have great experience in this field working from French into English. If you get stuck finding a translator who works into French, I know a very good agency who specialises in this sector.
@AnMaTranslates Totally right, asking or checking out any doubt whatsoever is essential to producing a good translation. Any client would also notice if you got it wrong.
