He chuckled and got comfortable, sipping the drink.
"I'm doin' alright. A little more tired than normal but I'm getting used to it. Yourself?" He asked.
"Well look what the IX dragged in~"
Bass could tell just from those boot falls that he was being approached by an old friend. The mug is slid to the empty seat, the chair slightly pushed out for him to indulge in.
"How ya doin ya old goat?"
Bass is enjoying a quiet moment out front of Still Sunrise with a hot cocoa and people watching. Old habits die hard it seems~
It's always interesting to see how people maneuver around especially as they shop and make merry.
Come say hello, that second cup won't drink itself.
“You should be careful with that, don’t want you to accidentally be teleported around places…”
The Hunter gives a grin as he heads past the man, staring at the bank behind the rogue, his mind already calculating.
“Don’t think Eris would forgive me if I let that happen.”
"He's a good kid... almost kind of wish the Nine didn’t take him but he's able to not be like Orin. His will is still his own."
He practically leaned into that shoulder touch. By the light, he had forgotten what a friendly touch could feel like.
"Thanks for this."
"I can only imagine...a shame I couldn't be there, to see the Nine in person...besides it being a mind fuck, it would have been extraordinary."
He pauses for a second, eyes narrowing beyond the horizon before coming back to Drifter. A smile, and a hand on his shoulder
He chuckled himself as he took a swig of the drink, getting settled on a stool.
"We did it. Brought back III... for like a second. Got some message and then back to business as usual. The kid's taken over for Orin now. It's nice having her around again."
He quickly tends to the counter, grabbing a few glasses and some of his nice liquor, pouring them each a hefty amount
"Yeah you look like shit, old man."
A chuckle. He can see the centuries finally got up to him.
"Talk to me. What happened there?"
He's a little older looking now. Time gets... weird when next to a singularity.
"Bass... man am I happy to see you." He said with a sigh as he walked in. He felt tired but knew he had to fill the other in.
Startled, a little groggy and sipping a coffee, Bass gets up to answer the door.
"By appointment o-. Oh, Drifter. Nevermind, come on in. I'm sure you have a lot to tell me..."
He opens his door wider for the other to enter, having been made privy to the Kepler reports.
