【The Ultimate Otaku Who Saved His Idol👀】
In Japan, the story of an idol otaku has gone viral after being featured on TV.
Honoka Aikawa became the leader of SKE48 this April, 17 years after the group’s formation. For her very first handshake event as leader, she showed up full of energy, believing more fans would come than usual. But when the event began at 3 p.m., not a single person stood in her line. Meanwhile, her younger group members already had long queues of fans.
Aikawa was devastated — so much so that she even asked her manager if she was about to be fired as an idol.
Then came one idol otaku: Shibu-chan. He had traveled nearly 700 kilometers from Miyagi Prefecture to Nagoya just to see her. Seeing her empty lane, he stepped in.
With 60 handshake tickets in hand, Shibu-chan spent the entire session lining up again and again in Aikawa’s lane. He looped through as much as time allowed, making sure she was never left alone. And while doing so, he also showed kindness: after each round, he deliberately took a five-minute break so Aikawa wouldn’t get too tired. During those breaks, he still waved to her from afar so she wouldn’t feel lonely. Aikawa later said she was incredibly happy and felt truly saved.
At that time, when she posted on X a photo of Shibu-chan waving alone, it became a huge topic. The story spread widely across Japan on X, and soon more and more fans began coming to her handshake events.
When asked how he felt about being called an “otaku” by Aikawa herself, Shibu-chan simply smiled and said:
“It’s a compliment.”
He was, quite literally, the otaku who saved his oshi.
The average tick would die of nicotine poisoning if you smoked one cigarette before it bit you. Make sure to take a drag every few minutes on a hike. It’s for your health. You likely only have 6 months of this being effective before nicotine resistant ticks are accidentally released from the national laboratory for preventing ticks from developing nicotine resistance
@DSR_Joker I have two minds here. Firstly, to the devs that actually did the amazing work, the ones who broke their backs carrying this whole studio and will be laid off: My sincerest sympathies. The second thought applies to the parasites riddling Bungie: Fuck you all, crash and burn.
@DevShinobu You are a goldmine of unique and amazing game ideas. First robot waifu adventure sim, now dream fatherhood simulator? Keep it up. This is the stuff we all want deep down, even if we don't recognize it right away.
