4 years later, and we are back to square one. Uninspiring, rudderless and lacking any form of ambition.

I love Tony as much as any Rovers fan, and will back him, but this is pathetic. It’s just utterly depressing that this is the best they can come up with.

Michael O'Neill is set to be Northern Ireland AND Blackburn Rovers manager at the same time! 😅

The Northern Ireland boss is set to take over at Ewood Park initially in a joint role until the end of the season 🤝

If a deal with the Irish FA is agreed quickly, O'Neill could be in charge for Saturday's game against Queens Park Rangers.

Northern Ireland face Italy in a World Cup play-off semi-final in March and then either Wales or Bosnia-Herzegovina in a final or friendly, depending on the result in Bergamo.

O'Neill is expected to be involved for both matches and, if Northern Ireland qualify against the odds, for the World Cup finals 🏆

The 56-year-old could then take over as manager at Blackburn, who are in the Championship's relegation zone, on a permanent basis.

📰 Valérien Ismaël has today left his position as Blackburn Rovers’ Head Coach by mutual consent.

Ismaël joined the club in February 2025, however it has been mutually agreed that he will step away from his role with immediate effect, along with Assistant Head Coach Dean Whitehead.

Blackburn Rovers would like to thank Valérien and Dean for their efforts during their time at the club and wish them both the very best for the future.

The club will now begin the process of appointing a new Head Coach and will make no further comment until an appointment is confirmed.
