I want my child to outdo me in every way. Be smarter. Go further. Heal faster. Win bigger. I’m not raising a mini-me, I’m raising an upgraded edition. A BETTER version.
So, I lost my watch at an event once. An hour later I saw some man stepping on it as he was harassing a girl there. I was so angry, I waked over and slapped him across the face and called security. No one does that to a woman, not on my watch.
Omitting is lying when you know the information withheld will change the outcome of a persons perspective on how they should weigh their choices on how to maneuver the situation. It can be considered as manipulation. Withholding information deliberately is deceptive. So yes omission is lying!
I won’t rationalize betrayal just to keep a relationship that’s already been emptied of respect. There’s nothing more disappointing than a person who can’t master his own urges. That kind of weakness isn’t just unattractive it’s dangerous.
Because no amount of "I love you" can erase the fact that you looked at my worth, weighed it against your urge and picked the urge. Cheating isn’t a mistake,it’s a decision. A deliberate, selfish act made while knowing exactly who it would hurt.
lots of talk about raising boys to also participate in household chores, but I think one of the best things we can do for them (and this is gender neutral really!) is teaching them to walk into a room and notice what needs to be done, and then do it without being asked.
