Russia: Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) or drone attacks and explosions have occurred near the border with Ukraine, as well as in large cities across Russia including Moscow, Kazan, and St. Petersburg. In an emergency, you should follow instructions from local Russian authorities and seek shelter. In the event of a UAV or drone sighting, move away immediately and seek cover if necessary. Do not approach, touch, or photograph UAVs, UAV debris, or objects dropped by UAVs. Russian law prohibits sharing or publishing photos or videos depicting the aftermath of drone attacks, including images of UAVs or UAV parts. Violating this law may result in a fine or imprisonment.

Philippines: The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) recorded a magnitude 7.8 earthquake offshore of Sarangani at 07:37:41 a.m. on June 8, 2026.
A tsunami warning has been issued for the following coastal areas: Sarangani, Davao Occidental, Tawi-tawi, Sulu, Basila, Zamboanga Del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Sultan Kudarat, and South Cotabato.

Israel: As a result of the current security situation in Israel, including Home Front Command alerts for multiple regions, the U.S. Embassy has directed all U.S. government employees and their family members to shelter in place, and be prepared to move to a protected shelter in the event of a red alert, until further notice.
Operating Status
The U.S. Embassy Jerusalem and Embassy Branch Office Tel Aviv consular sections are closed on Monday, June 8.
