#Bitfinity eliminates the problems that exist in terms of mempool sniping and MEV, as transactions reach finality at much higher speeds in comparison to #BTC L1.

Take a look at the new “mempool marketplace” from @magisat_io. The marketplace has been created to combat the issue of MEV on BTC L1, and will allow traders to snipe purchases that are still in the mempool, prior to their block reaching completion.

Users will be able to browse inscriptions with pending purchases, with each of these purchases being available for repurchase using higher fees until the block is complete; blocks usually take around ten minutes to complete.

While this new marketplace levels the playing field for traders, it highlights the issue of MEV for ordinary users.

MEV resistance will be a key factor in the success of #Ordinals and the wider BTC ecosystem as time goes on.

#BitcoinL2 solutions like Bitfinity make it much more difficult for snipers to intercept sales of digital assets, a problem which is very pronounced on BTC L1 in it’s current state.
