NEW: Ontario’s ministry of housing worked on a detailed plan to intensify development around transit stations, late last year.
Then in the Spring, the plan — welcome by housing advocates — was suddenly derailed by the Ford government.

Uh oh! People are telling lies on the internet again!
Have you seen the post circulating about a ~shocking~ lesson being taught to Grade 7 students in Ontario?
Yeah, it’s not real. But that didn’t stop the outrage.
Here’s the fact check:

I am trying to get it done by building eleventy million new homes but the RCMP and Odditer General are really duhstracting my all-star team by suddenly asking a lot of questions about things I have no nawledge about and my dog ate all the business cases.

I'm up to 12, 262 and every day the number of people following me is climbing. Clearly people agree with me that we need to clean house and #VoteOutFord and #VoteOutPoilievre and send them the message that they shouldn't be in politics.
The latest AG report paints a picture of a corrupt Conservative gov't lurching from scandal to scandal with complete disregard for consequences.
Three major policy reversals in a few weeks.
This has been a year wasted due to negligence. We can’t afford another year.

“Ottawa paid nearly $670,000 for KPMG’s advice on cutting consultant costs.”
Somehow, this article isn’t a parody.
Some consultants do create real value and save public money, but those big management consulting firms definitely do not.

@jodie_cook I have some paid workshops this year that teach using AI in recruiting and hiring young adults as well as one creating AI systems for small business.
I will say this once again. For many of us who have lived or have family in smaller, more rural areas of Canada, CBC provides an invaluable service. During Hurricane Fiona, local CBC radio was all my parents had to keep informed and safe.
For the leader of a major party to keep attacking CBC represents immense privilege and a total disconnect from many rural communities.
It's easy to keep finding problems and people to attack, might even be a sport for some common-sense apple munchers, but it's harder to find, design, and implement better solutions.
In Canada, you have the option to remove your child from both religious studies and sex education at any time.
However, you do not have the option to remove other people's children from those same classes.
*Reminder for those protesting, your province sets the curriculum.
Yesterday, Doug Ford said he stands with farmers.
Prove it.
Farmers are saying loud and clear: Protect Ontario’s farmland. Build within existing boundaries.
Restore the #Greenbelt.

Council has been made aware of the Ontario wide protests occurring today, including in Norfolk County. There is no space for hate here in Norfolk or across our province. We value our diversity and inclusivity in Norfolk County and today should be no different. #NorfolkCounty

Just in case you were wondering what my neighborhood looks like on 34th Ave. A place some residents call a “Third World Country”, “armageddon” and a “fortress-style Berlin Wall” among hundreds of other insults.
