Very excited to receive funding to implement the CATCH FiRe Program for our Fairmont Fire Department Firefighters!!! 🚒
This is what partnerships look like and with WVU Medicine beside us I think we’ll be able to deliver a significant program for our Firefighters.
I told City Council when they hired me that our team would focus on securing dollars to invest in our community and that includes our employees!

35! 🤦🏼♂️😉
For some reason, this birthday feels a little monumental.
This past year has brought some incredible highs, some hard lows, a lot of growth, and more than a few moments that reminded me just how unpredictable life can be.
I’ve accomplished things I once only dreamed about. I get to do work I love in the place that made me who I am. I’ve laughed until I couldn’t breathe, made memories I’ll never forget, loved people deeply, had my heart stretched a little, and kept believing that there’s still plenty of life left to surprise me.
There are still parts of life I’m hoping for, too. Things I haven’t found yet, chapters I haven’t lived yet, and if I’m being honest, that feels both exciting and a little scary. I’m still learning that I don’t have to have every part figured out to recognize how good the story already is. And I’m definitely still learning. 😂
But one thing I know for certain at 35: my life is already incredibly full.
Full of family. Friends. People who show up. Memories I wouldn’t trade for anything. Work that matters to me. And more love surrounding me than I sometimes stop long enough to appreciate.
Looking through these pictures, I’m reminded that the story so far has been pretty damn good.
Thank you to every single person who called, texted, posted, messaged, or simply took a moment to wish me a happy birthday. You made 35 pretty special.
Here’s to everything that’s been and everything still to come. 💙
I didn’t come back home to sit behind a desk. I came back home to get stuff done.
Today was one of those days that reminds me exactly why.
The Rotary Club of Fairmont Mini Park is a place I grew up playing and seeing it completely transformed for another generation of kids is pretty darn special.
And none of this happens without the people doing the work. I’ve got one hell of a team, and I could not be more proud of our Public Works Department. They took this park and absolutely transformed it.
Thank you to the Rotary Club of Fairmont, our community partners, City Council, and everyone who helped make this happen.
But the picture with my niece might be my favorite reminder of all: this is who we’re doing it for.
More parks. More investment. More work to do.
TEAM FAIRMONT 💙
What a day for the City of Fairmont.
Today we celebrated Kibar Americas new investment in our city. And another chapter being written inside a facility that has long been part of our community’s manufacturing story.
Standing on that stage and looking out at the audience under that tent, I couldn’t help but feel incredibly proud of where Fairmont is headed.
We know what this community is made of. We know what our people can do. And we’re going to keep creating the conditions for businesses to invest, grow, and put people to work right here at home.
To Kibar Americas: welcome to Fairmont. We’re glad you’re here.
And to everyone watching what comes next be it with excitement or skepticism, I have but one thing to say:
Watch us. 😉
TEAM FAIRMONT.💙
This neighborhood has waited long enough.
Today, Team Fairmont broke ground on the largest investment the City has made in Windmill Park in decades.
Windmill Park sits in the heart of Fairmont’s historic African American neighborhood. For generations, the investment made here did not reflect the importance of this park or the community surrounding it. And we have to be honest: that disinvestment did not happen in a vacuum.
Fairmont was not immune from a history in which African American neighborhoods were too often the last to receive public investment and the first expected to make do without it.
We cannot rewrite that history. But we can decide whether we continue it.
Over the last two years, we’ve made a deliberate choice not to.
This new concession stand is another major step… but it won’t be the last.
Every neighborhood matters. Every neighborhood deserves investment. And where you live in Fairmont should never determine whether your community is worth investing in.
We’re not simply turning dirt at Windmill Park. We’re turning a page.

September is going to be a big month in the City of Fairmont. 👀
Ribbon cuttings. Groundbreakings. A lot to celebrate. More work to do but I’m so excited for what’s ahead!
TEAM FAIRMONT is just getting started! 😀
Last week wasn’t an easy one.
Leadership rarely is.
There were difficult conversations, hard decisions, and moments that could have distracted me from the mission if I had let them.
But then there were days like these.
Sitting around a table talking about what’s possible. Welcoming partners who believe in Fairmont. Watching years of work begin to take shape as legacy manufacturing facilities prepare for new life. Seeing people believe in this community again.
That’s the part of leadership I love.
The headlines come and go. So does criticism. But the work… the work is what lasts.
I’ve learned something over the past week. Sometimes the greatest source of strength isn’t found in carrying every burden yourself. It’s found in the people who quietly stand beside you. The ones who listen, make you laugh, encourage you, and somehow make the weight you’re carrying feel a little lighter. They may never know just how much that matters, but it does.
I’ve always believed Fairmont’s best days are ahead of us, and after a week like this, I believe it even more.
A new week begins today.
I’m still smiling.
I’m still optimistic.
I’m still grateful.
I’ve always considered myself a happy warrior.
And no matter what hill is in front of me, that’s exactly who I intend to remain.

What a wonderful Independence Day weekend it’s been. 🇺🇸
From pool days and big smiles with my favorite little sidekick, to spending time with some truly incredible people, I’m reminded just how fortunate I am to have such amazing individuals in my life.
And yes… I somehow managed to have one of the most memorable Friday evenings I’ve had in a long time… wandering around a grocery store. 😂 Funny how the simplest moments can end up being the best ones.
As we celebrate our nation’s independence, I also want to say thank you to the men and women who keep our community running while the rest of us enjoy the holiday. To our police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, dispatchers, public works crews, utility workers, and everyone else serving our city today thank you for your dedication and sacrifice. Holidays don’t stop the work you do, and Fairmont is stronger because of your commitment.
I hope everyone had a safe, relaxing, and joy-filled Independence Day surrounded by the people who matter most.
Happy Independence Day! ❤️🤍💙
I really enjoyed this conversation with Fairmont State University President Dr. Mike Davis about the partnership between the University and the City of Fairmont.
But it's important for us to be honest that the deep relationship between both organizations has not always felt mutual but thanks to the leadership of Dr. Davis (Mike) and myself that is no longer the case. We are moving forward as one TEAM and I'm excited for what's to come!!
One TEAM FAIRMONT that sees the benefit of building relationships to get things done.
June Update (2026) https://t.co/bkhfkJWZ3v via @YouTube
Over the last few years, I’ve been fortunate to live what many people would consider a dream.
I’ve returned home. I’ve been given the opportunity to serve the city I love. I’ve worked alongside incredible people, built meaningful friendships, and been surrounded by family who continually remind me how blessed I am.
What I’ve learned along the way is that success means very little if you’re not willing to be yourself.
For a long time, I spent energy trying to fit expectations, manage perceptions, or make sure everyone else was comfortable. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that life is simply too short for that. The people who truly matter don’t love a version of us. They love us.
So today, I’m grateful.
Grateful for family.
Grateful for friends.
Grateful for a community that has shaped me.
And grateful for the freedom to live honestly and without apology.
I don’t have all the answers, and I’m still learning every day. But I know this: being comfortable in your own skin is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
Here’s to authenticity, growth, and embracing every part of who we are.
Two years ago today, I stood with my hand raised and took the oath to serve as City Manager of the City of Fairmont.
What I didn’t fully realize in that moment was just how deeply this role would impact me personally. Coming home to serve the city that helped shape me has been emotional, humbling, exhausting at times, and incredibly rewarding all at once.
Over these last two years, there have been long days, difficult decisions, setbacks, victories, and moments that reminded me exactly why this work matters. Through it all, I’ve never lost sight of the fact that this is more than a job to me. This is home. These are my people.
I’ve had the privilege to work alongside dedicated city employees, supportive community partners, passionate residents, and a City Council that cares deeply about Fairmont’s future. Together, we’ve kept pushing forward because this city is worth believing in.
I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, but more than anything, I’m grateful. Grateful for the trust, the support, the encouragement, and the opportunity to give back to the community that gave so much to me.
Two years down — and I still believe with my whole heart that Fairmont’s best days are ahead of us. ❤️
#TEAMFAIRMONT
I'm incredibly honored that I get to serve the community that raised me. And I've been very clear that I will always be honest and transparent with our community. And that I will not shy away from the tough conversations or the hard tasks we have ahead of us to create the community we deserve.
My relentless optimism for this City doesn't come from a place of complacency; it comes from a belief that we'll only get the community we deserve when we start to believe we deserve it.
I will forever and always be TEAM FAIRMONT's biggest advocate!

My heart breaks for Congressman McKinley’s family!! He was an incredible public servant and someone I looked up to greatly for his courage to always do what’s right regardless of the political consequences!!!
He was a true West Virginian!
Thrilled to see WVU Medicine continue to invest in the City of Fairmont!!!
