🚀 Discovered a gem for uncertainty models!
There is a fantastic tool on the NIST site, for calculating measurement uncertainties.

I'm unsure who developed this tool, but if you read this, "thank you". Your creation has saved me significant time.
@JKludass Fracture toughness is the ability of a material to resist fracture in case of small defects or cracks in the surface. Materials such as natural rubber latex or polyisoprene, have a low fracture toughness, which means that whilst they are strong, they break suddenly when cracked.
Ever had medical gloves tear while putting them on or in theatre? 🤔
Gloves are currently tested for strength but real-world conditions often lead to sudden glove failures from small holes or tears.
Instead of strength we should test for fracture toughness.

Ever thought your N95 or FFP2 mask works like a kitchen sieve? 🤔
It doesn't!
I've created an article over on LinkedIn explaining how your average Respiratory device functions. It's more complex than it seems.

Ever wondered why some respirators say the 94% vs. 95% efficiency?
The difference? Testing methods. FFP2 tests at flow rate of 95 L/min, while N95 is at 85 L/min.
For every 1 L/min increase in flow rate, filtration efficiency drops by about 0.1%. Hence, the 1% difference.
