This is a task that tbh would have taken me several days of troubleshooting w/ a bunch of trial and error and anger....(**I am NOT a very smooth coder these days**)
I cant believe how slick these AI utilities are becoming
I just had @claudeai write a custom Magic Mirror Module (MMM-YouTubeSubscribers.js) and the associated CSS.. all I had to do was grab the Google API and channel ID and do a tiny bit of troubleshooting...
It even gave me a security notice when I accidentally copied the API key into the chat when including my config file for troubleshooting (I have since deprecated and changed the key)
10.) set-up and secure remote access via SSH so modules can be changed
then there is the physical install of the TV, the @Raspberry_Pi, and any of the cabling, switching, or wall mount hardware you may need
All for your wife to say "well that's neat"

Why is everything so hard?
Example: Magic Mirror display configuration and deployment
1.) install magic mirror on raspberry pi (not trivial package managers not up to date)
2.) pick and install modules
3.) write config.js file to integrate all desired modules...
7.) write bash scripts to utilize cec-utils to turn on and off the TV
8.) write cron jobs to use the bash scripts to turn the display on/off on a daily basis at desired times
9.) validate and test every config so that the deployment is stable when installed on your TV
I bought 2x64gb @corsair RGB DDR 5 RAM on oct 22nd... thought it was expensive at the time.. now I feel like a genius... literally had no clue what dec. 1 market was going to look like ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@CTOAdvisor In grad school my office was a broom closet with now windows... while working on course work, I got out of my chair laid on my back and squeezed my eyes shot for a half hour paralyzed by the stress of HW, exams, research, move to a new city... I still reflect on that day...
