The floor-to-ceiling windows of my suite at the Wynn painted the entire Las Vegas Strip in gold and glass. From forty-something floors up, the city looked calm. Controlled.
Which was funny, because Vegas was never calm.

@Sinful_Chaos Of course... That's not an issue at all. I was just pointing out that you're not as callous as you sometimes like to portray. Maybe after we've shared the news we can have a small gathering of close friends and family, while re-exchanging our vows.

Honestly, I wasn't sure which reaction I wanted to see more, hers or theirs.
Because for the first time in a long time, the future didn't feel complicated.
