@AB84 It's because those morons drink alcohol instead of eating real food. Many of those people only eat one meal a day. They're suffering from malnutrition.

I am at the hospital again, but I had a surprise visitor yesterday.

Tia, who used to run the office of the infusion clinic that I go to, came to see me yesterday. Thank you for spending your lunch break with me Tia. It was wonderful.

Welp, I survived another Myasthenic gravis crisis. The treatments are not super fun, and I had a rough experience here at the hospital, but it will be nice to see my 36th birthday next month.

I think it's beautiful that his wife plans on sticking beside him through such harsh moments. You might be surprised how many people bail when you become sick with neuromuscular disease. Ask me how I know.

I'm at the hospital again for a Myasthenic crisis, so they have me on the 'Easy to Chew' diet, due to swallowing issues.

I'm a little confused though, because they told me that I cannot have carrot cake, and I don't remember carrot cake being hard to chew.

#TIL that Christopher Robin Milne, who was the basis for Christopher Robin in the Winnie the Pooh stories, was diagnosed with Myasthenia gravis, later in his life.

Alongside other famous figures such as Aristotle Onasis, it goes to show that rare diseases can happen to anyone.

Does anybody else with chronic illness feel like the world sort of rolled right past them? It's as if I am years behind on everything, I mean, I can't even seem to use modern technology a lot of the time now. I keep thinking everything was how it was 5+ years ago.
