The ANC doesn't understand cultural infrastructure, and it shows.

There should be schools and institutions built around language, talent, and religion for all groups.

Afrikaans-medium schools. Zulu cultural institutions. Xhosa, Sotho, Tswana, Venda, Tsonga, Ndebele, Swati, every one of South Africa's eleven official languages deserves its own dedicated schools and programs, not just token mentions on paper.

When private citizens build these institutions themselves, that's cultural preservation, not apartheid. The two aren't the same thing, and treating them as identical is either dishonest or ignorant. Cadres deployed into government positions on loyalty rather than competence don't grasp the difference.

Look at Wales, Welsh-medium schools are state funded and celebrated as heritage protection, not division.

Canada funds French language schools and institutions outside Quebec specifically to keep French culture alive as a minority language. Nobody calls that segregation. They call it identity preservation.

South Africa has eleven official languages and treats protecting them as suspicious.

Left unchecked, the result is languages and cultures allowed to erode, and citizens slowly stripped of the identity that makes them who they are.

A government that can't tell the difference between apartheid and heritage has no business governing a country with eleven languages and one memory it keeps failing to protect.

Two posts in one day calling for the end of John Cleese.

One says he has allied himself with the darkest forces in Britain and has become the caricature he once mocked. The other, from a Muslim outlet, argues plainly that he should be de-platformed by respectable institutions.

De-platformed. Respectable institutions. Say those words slowly and try to hear how they would have landed in 1972.

The man co-wrote a film so blasphemous the BBC would not touch it, that was banned outright in Norway and by councils across England, and that two bishops went on television to denounce while he sat there and let them.

Life of Brian survived the actual Church of England.

It is now being reviewed by a newsletter.

And the accusation is that he has become the caricature he once mocked, which is a remarkable sentence to write about a man whose entire body of work was aimed at exactly this. The Ministry of Silly Walks was a joke about a government department funding nonsense with a straight face. Now we have men in offices deciding which comedians remain permissible, and doing it with no jokes at all.

At least the Ministry had the decency to be funny.

Let me be fair, because I am always fair, and because being fair is what makes the rest of this land.

Criticism is not censorship. Both of those men have every right to say Cleese is wrong, tasteless, or past it. That is speech. Nobody owes an 86 year old comedian applause.

But there is a hard line between you are wrong and you should not be permitted to speak, and one of those posts crossed it in the headline.

The first is an argument. The second is an eviction notice.

And notice what the eviction is actually for. He said things about a religion. Not about a person. A religion, which is a set of ideas, and ideas do not have rights. People do. In England you can still say anything you like about the Church of England, and Cleese made a career of it, and nobody drafted a newsletter about respectable institutions.

Here is what is wrong with Britain, and I say it with real affection because I am going there next month.

A country that gave the world Magna Carta, the common law, and the funniest people who have ever lived has developed the habit of asking whether a joke is allowed.

That question has an answer over here.

John, if it gets any worse, come to America. Say every single thing you think. Say the wrong ones. Say the ones that would end you at home.

Nobody will de-platform you and nobody will send a constable.

Yesterday @bmj_latest retracted a paper on Covid-19 and excess mortality. There were no methodological, data or analysis flaws in the paper. The BMJ's reason? They found the discussion 'unbalanced'. They came to that conclusion not during editorial consideration or extensive peer review, but long after the paper had been published. The real reason for retraction can be found in their earlier 'expression of concern': the editors disagreed with how the paper was presented in the media - not by the authors themselves, but by journalists. That is a political and not a scientific reason. With this decision the BMJ adds yet another dangerous precedent in these times of increasing political interference in scientific research. @prinsesmaximac @BMJPublicHealth

The ANC's governance model is simple: if they cannot control it, deploy cadres to it, or milk it via tenders, they want it banned.

Naledi Pandor's panic over a privately funded Afrikaans-medium university is a masterclass in ANC distraction politics and ideological entitlement.

Pandor's declaration on the African Renaissance Podcast that the R3.2 billion Akademia campus project is "unacceptable" exposes the ruling elite's deepest insecurity, they cannot stand it when a community bypasses their broken state machinery to build something functional.

Instead of hiding in shame over the complete destruction of South Africa's public higher education system under her party's watch, she chooses to police private citizens who are using their own money to build infrastructure.

The ANC has spent decades systematically degrading public institutions.

Universities like the University of Fort Hare are crippled by corruption, infrastructure backlogs, and violent protests, while NSFAS remains a permanent logistical disaster.

When a cultural community steps in, raises private funds, and follows the legal framework of the Constitution to construct a state of the art private higher education institution, Pandor views it as a threat.

Claiming South Africans are "too complacent with our freedom" because they aren't protesting a private construction site is pure delusion.

Real freedom is the right to associate and build without begging an incompetent government for permission.

Pandor uses terms like "conservative liberalism" and "colonial legacy" to mask the reality that her own party has failed to build equivalent, world class institutions for the majority of Black South Africans.

Akademia is entirely funded through private investment and tuition. It is not taking a single cent away from struggling public universities.

The state forced Afrikaans out of historically dual-medium public universities under the banner of inclusivity, but now throws a tantrum when that language group goes and builds its own space.

Pandor's rhetoric proves that the ruling elite would rather have an equal distribution of institutional decay across South Africa than allow any pocket of private excellence to thrive outside state dictates.

If Naledi Pandor wants to fight for transformative justice, she should start by investigating the structural collapse of the public institutions she once oversaw.

South Africans are not complacent, they are simply tired of politicians who have mastered the art of demolition complaining about people who know how to build.

You were taught in med school by a system rife with conflicts of interest.

The Merck Manual is literally written by Merck. And as I documented in Follow the Science, it contains false information on numerous fronts including vaccine safety.

You belong to medical associations that have become little more than fronts for the pharmaceutical industry.

Your Continuing Medical Education classes are largely sponsored and taught by professionals being paid by the pharmaceutical companies their classes defend. They often contain incomplete, misleading, and false information.

You serve in a political body largely funded by, ruled by, and conflicted by vaccine industry donations. As both D and R members have stepped forward to admit (reported on Full Measure), your party leaders have been working for two decades to stop vaccine-autism hearings and inquiries.

You've surrendered your scientific curiosity and public health responsibilities to a conflicted dogma pushed out by propagandists with financial interests.

Vaccines are not a monolithic group that can be spoken of as "safe and effective." It's as silly and unscientific as saying "all medicine is safe and effective." There are different calculations for different vaccines and different people.

There is no study that has ever proven "vaccines do NOT cause autism." You're reciting false propaganda rather than medical science.

(Obviously, the vaccines that have been pulled from the market after widespread use were not safe and effective, after all.)

The government's chief pro-vaccine medical expert in court changed his mind and concluded vaccines can cause autism after all, but the govt. covered it up.

The government has been paying vaccine-autism injuries in vaccine court for decades while falsely telling the public the link is debunked.

A top CDC scientist recounted in detail multiple coverups at the agency regarding scientific studies linking vaccines and autism.

Autism appeared as a possible risk on the warning label for a vaccine that was later pulled from the market.

Thousands of scientific studies link vaccines to hundreds of disorders, including immune disorders such as diabetes, and neurological disorders such as autism.

The "experts" have proven wrong on nearly every major public health controversy in recent years.

I don't think the majority of people are buying what you're selling anymore.

RE: COVID vaccines and Miscarriage Risk

Establishment doctors who love pharmaceutical products and are posting today in support of Fauci, are missing the point.

In this debate, it is of NO CONSEQUENCE whether the miscarriage rate after COVID vaccination is 0.8% or 80%.

The issue is that you don’t take any chances during pregnancy— there are even warnings against eating certain dairy, and taking a Tylenol.

You don’t hide risks from pregnant women, or women thinking of becoming pregnant. You must disclose everything, no matter how small you think the risk is.

If you hide stuff, you must face consequences.

Remember Fauci and the medical establishment were totally OK with mandating this shot in pregnant women, and threatening them with consequences like job loss.

Now they should face consequences. This whole episode is totally abhorrent.

Perhaps the most damning revelation in the Fauci documents is that every view for which we were denounced as conspiracy theorists and crackpots was being expressed by them in private too.
