It only takes one second or less to be eternally saved.
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31).
"The one who believes in the Son has eternal life; but the one who does not believe will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him" (John 3:36).
No commitment. No works. No baptism. No inviting Christ into your heart. No crying tears of repentence. No walking the aisle. Just faith. And only faith.
Faith is just believing.
Tell God the Father that you believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. And that's it. You will be eternally saved. And you'll never be able to lose your salvation.
This is the most important decision of your lifetime.
@Dakota_Meyer Both strategies ignore the realities of Islam. It's a religious cult that's incompatible with representative government AND it's incapable of allowing peace in the Middle East with its relentless hatred of Israel and the Jewish people.
@Street_Gator@bradvanderwaal@megbasham Perseverance of the Saints is false teaching. Please don’t add to message of eternal salvation. Faith is just believing.
If I had evidence that someone was about to get in a car crash and kill themselves, it would provoke a lot of anxiety if I told them. But if my motives were to present another alternative that would save their life, that would be an act of love. Similarly, sharing the gospel (if that’s what this preacher was doing) isn’t a hate crime. It’s an act of love. Jesus spoke a lot about hell because he didn’t want anyone to go there.
If you erased the last minute of every NBA Finals game this year, the Spurs win the series 4-1 instead of the Knicks winning 4-1.
That’s painful if you’re a Spurs fan.
Let’s stick with the actual words found in the Bible.
“Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son” (John 3:18).
Condemnation is based upon unbelief……NOT upon living your life as a Christian.
While he doesn’t give any indication that he is a believer, ultimately only God knows. It only takes one moment in time.
While I agree that his public statements are very concerning, hell is based upon never believing that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. It only takes one moment in time to make that very important decision. Eternal salvation does not require commitment or to be a follower of Christ. These beliefs stem from Calvinism, which is false teaching. Ultimately, only God knows where He would send James’ soul if he were to die today.
I’m sorry you’ve been brainwashed into believing this. Islam is a cult that threatens anyone who dares to question what they’ve been told.
The Hadiths portray Mohammed as a warlord and a pedophile. Not a “perfect role model.” Satan used Mohammed to devise a false, counterfeit religion whereby billions have been led astray. And sadly, they will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire for rejecting the love of God. Because rather than accepting the perfect atoning sacrifice for their sins, they tried to earn salvation through their own “good works” that do not measure up to God’s perfect standard.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God” (John 3:16-18).
I hope you make the most important decision of your lifetime. It takes less than one second to believe in Christ.
The military isn’t drawing any lines based on theology. They are simply doing their best to provide appropriate religious support to our troops. If Mormon troops want to ensure they have a Mormon chaplain (instead of a Baptist or Catholic one), it’s in their interest to not be listed as “Christian.”
It comes down to chaplain coverage for our troops. Christian military chaplains represent a broad range of denominations and traditions, typically grouped under a “Christian” category for administrative purposes. LDS troops want LDS chaplains. So they are their own category. If you really want to make change, then you must be okay with LDS troops having a non-LDS chaplain.

Every time I go through our Starbucks drive through, the lady hands me a digital paperweight and tells me, “It’s going to ask you a question.” Not only do I not want to handle their 5 pound credit card processor, I’m annoyed by the passive aggressive moment that I’m presented with. Instead of just asking for a tip, I’m told to answer a mysterious “question.”
Our military’s officers took an oath to support and defend the Constitution. The first 3 words of the Constitution are “We The People” in size 100 font. The intent of the document is pretty straightforward.
Anyone who steals power from “We the People” is a domestic enemy of “We The People.” It’s really that simple.
I hope the military never has to get involved in elections, but it’s getting to the point where something must be done in order to preserve our Constitution and our way of life before we lose everything that millions of brave men and women fought and died for.
Churches have become so watered down that many parents can’t distinguish between church and year-round Sunday morning kids select sports. Praying with your kid before a game and listening to worship music in the car isn’t the same as in-depth teaching of the Word of God.
@DefiyantlyFree In context, Jesus is confronting unbelieving religious leaders who have repeatedly rejected him and attributed his works to Satan. Their words represented their unbelief.
