Y’all, it’s 2023. Do we not have the technology to prevent this from happening?! All this talk about the repercussions of Artificial Intelligence, but if AI can solve this then it can gladly have my job.
@kavun But that’s too helpful and it removes all of the mystery, and we know that devs love to play detective! That’s why we skip on documentation and use obscure variable names like “var x.” We do it for them.
@lpdahito I say all of this as someone who was self taught for 2 years before going to a 4-year university, and have now been coding longer than I have not been.
Ultimately though, neither approach is wrong and each have their pros and cons.
@lpdahito I’m definitely not saying that self taught devs don’t have that same understanding or can’t learn it, but IMHO they focus more on learning what they need to get stuff done.
@jaymeedwards If they admit their mistakes, most definitely! None of us are perfect and gotta learn somehow. When they lie, dig their heels in, pass the blame, and try to cover their tracks, that’s an issue.
Calling Animal Crossing: New Horizon players: I am doing research for grad school and if you could take a brief survey about a prototype I created, I'd greatly appreciate it! https://t.co/6Q21eDPqwH
