Shaq & Bron were ironically Lakers for the same amount of time, Though Lakers had prime Shaq. In a way, he’s right. Kobe reached Magic level lore, then surpassed it. Bron is appreciated in the same way that Shaq was. It’s not 0% like they say. It’s also not 100 level. It’s in between. I think starting and finishing your career here while carrying 5 titles worth of memories will naturally produce this. And it’s OK. Demanding to be seen like Kobe or Magic is placing too much on a players shoulders. It took time to reach that, time that we simply didn’t have with Shaq or Bron. I really am sorry that ppl just have no reference point to even begin to understand this…that’s how rare Magic & Kobe talent +success with 1 franchise, over time, is. It just doesn’t happen. If Kobe left and didn’t retire here, that attachment might be less.
