@Bay_Area_Boy @TweedyMK I don’t want to agree because I enjoy the beta, but realistically I think you’re right. I still enjoy Invincible, but even the newest update is barely boosting player counts. Tokon eclipsing every other fighter this year is kind of inevitable.

@RawbertBeef Marvel probably threw this in for fan service and an IOU that they’ll figure out the payoff later. Seeing how Marvel has done a lot of redirection in this saga I assume it’s left on the cutting room floor. I think She-Hulk was scrubbed from canon anyway, Born Again ignores it.

@RinoTheBouncer To an extent, absolutely. The Gamer Gate era still has lingering effects on the industry to this day and not for the better.

That being said, inflated budgets and corporate greed have created a lot of these anti-consumer practices and gamers have begrudgingly tolerated them.

@RinoTheBouncer I stand that Ninja Theory had the potential to make their own phenomenal hack and slash IP. After Heavenly Sword, Enslaved, and DmC I felt like they had the experience to do it.

Sony should hire them again under a new studio name.

@myretrolifeshow My theory is that they saw SF6’s World Tour and wanted to take it one step further. This could be a complete reinvention of the series. Especially since Pai looks much older now. I’m at least interested in seeing what they do with it.

@RinoTheBouncer @TreyBoog23 They’re all starting to blend together. Onimusha and Phantom Blade 0 are the only Japanese sword games I care about with Oni being hard carried by Capcom’s roll this year as well as being a resurrected franchise. If I’m only getting one it’s that one.
