(...) should not allow you to force your opponent off the track to ensure they cannot legally complete their overtake. However, in the current letter of the rule, Lando should give the position back, as they then had a case for Max forcing another drive off track. From a max fan.

My take on the #UnitedStatesGP moment between Lando and Max:

The rule is poor, Lando completed the overtake off track, and did not give the position back, therefore penalty was justified. However, as JB said, letting off the breaks to make yourself ahead at the apex... (part1)
