A huge thank you to our friends at @GulfandFraser – West End Branch for generously volunteering their time and creativity to decorate The Treehouse for the holidays! Thank you for being a part of our mission to help children feel like kids again
The Treehouse is proud to have participated in this conference, and we are grateful for the important discussions we had with our counterparts from around the province as we continue to grow and improve services for all children and youth in BC who have experienced abuse.
We send condolences to the policing community on the tragic death of Cst O'Brien. We are keeping the family and friends of Cst O'Brien and the two injured officers close to our hearts. We are forever grateful for the dedication of those that serve to keep our communities safe.
On this #NationalIndigenousPeoplesDay, The Treehouse recognizes and celebrates the history, heritage, resilience, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis across Canada.

The Treehouse is focused on the mental health of children who come to our centre. Our team works to ensure that children and families receive resources that will provide the best step forward to healing. To get children back to feeling like kids again, mental health must matter.
Today, and everyday, we honour missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people and stand in support of the families and communities impacted by violence. #reddressday

Thank you @VancouverPD for creating this video highlighting our new remote testimony space. We are happy to be able to provide this space to children and youth and are grateful to @VanPoliceFnd and the Department of Justice for their support.
Going to court can be stressful for kids, so we’re grateful to the @VanPoliceFnd and @TreehouseCYAC for teaming up to create a new remote testimony room. We hope this will lead to more successful prosecutions, and lessen the trauma for young victims and witnesses.
There are 8 million kids in Canada and they all have something in common – their rights!
