This is something we are gearing up for at Guernsey trees for Life and would encourage anyone who wants to get involved or sponsor our efforts to get in touch.
@pollinatorproj@mumtoaredhead @thegsyscientist Such a shame if this is a result of pesticide use interesting to know if they are spraying At the park as states policy I thought was to reduce/stop.
@mumtoaredhead @thegsyscientist Worrying news about Sausmarez park, thoughtless use of pesticides does so much damage but you seem to be doing a great job.
People like make a real difference thanks.
Very proud to have been at Queen's official birthday celebration assisting His Excellency and Lady Corder plant an English oak in memory of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. Launching our contribution to the Queen's Green Canopy campaign @QGCanopy#Tree#Guernsey
๐ณ Introducing The Queenโs Green Canopy!
๐ Today marks the launch of @qgcanopy, a a unique, UK-wide tree planting initiative created to mark The Queenโs Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
๐ธ The Queen and The Prince of Wales with the first Jubilee tree, planted earlier this year.
Where is the outcry? We're heading toward losing our bees and butterflies yet little seems to be done at a government level to reduce and remove harmful chemicals. https://t.co/JICqNdz2KA
Absolutely fantastic Gorse this year great for early pollinators!
Remember mow lawns a little less frequently and please don't strim your bank's to within an inch of destruction give nature a chance.
@pollinatorproj .....Farmers need to come on board and receptive to explore different methods. I hear some are open and exploring pollinator friendly crops but those efforts undone in an instant by this wholesale spraying.
This is happening all over St Peters at the moment surely it's time we worked with Farmers to find an alternative to the destruction of our Biodiversity. Supporting @pollinatorproj in their plea to use less chemicals.
