UPSC 2023 results were declared a couple of days ago. Articles, videos, tweets will be dedicated to stories of success and toppers making it to the coveted list. Along with them, aspirants have also started to talk of their journeys that couldn’t yield a rank.

However, this isn’t the end of the journey of life. While one route may have shut, there are many a road less taken that lie ahead for these brilliant students. Take some time to look back at all you have learnt, all you have gained and then pull up your socks for what lies ahead

a) The onus lies on everyone to follow and abide by Constitutional ethos and general laws of the land.
b) That possibly is a reflection of her lack of faith in the ability of government and associated institutions to safeguard her. To the credit of democracy, she isn't behind bars, denied even the opportunity of bail hearing, due to her personal political opinions. (Extrapolate here).
c) The comparison of an exceptional incident with the banal acceptance of routine discrimination is entirely misplaced and incorrect- reeking of whataboutism.
d) Honestly, the fragility wherein even an iota of critical discussion sparks angst of but why us first, really needs an in depth introspection on all our part.

Antithetical to the idea of Indian democracy that was ingrained in the Constitution.
Such incidents get repeated throughout the country, including cosmopolitan cities, just that they tend to get cloaked in language of society rules, ethos etc.

Bronx medical school, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, is now tuition-free thanks to a $1 billion gift from Dr. Ruth Gottesman, a former professor.

Gottesman, whose late husband was an early investor with Warren Buffett, has made it a condition of the gift that the college NOT change its name—an unusual requirement in a world where much smaller gifts often come with the requirement that the colleges be named after the donor.

Most students at the Einstein College of Medicine graduate with $200,000 in debt; they will now be free of that burden.
