How many times do I have to tell people that because of the realism it is not an odyssey adaptation anyone who has read the book will tell you that. It’s a great adventure and psychological movie but a terrible adaptation because Nolan just ignored parts which were mythological or mystical. That whole cyclops scene is so badly written

There is another issue how do you show a fight in forest with ram against 14000 rakshas with the illusion storm creation sequence and covering the sun with arrows sequence. So if they read Valmiki Ramayan they would understand that you would have to dumb down Ramayan by a lot if you practical visuals and realism just as Nolan did odyssey. It is a great adventure movie but a terrible odyssey adaptation because he dumbs down the mythos of the epic

Bhai Chris Nolan the scenes in the odyssey book which were too mythological he cut them off because of his hyper realism to the point I would say that it is a great adventure movie but a terrible odyssey adaptation. There is a fight in Ramayana in which ram fights 14000 Rakshas and Ravan fights Jatayu. Your favourite director would cut them out
