The Black Cats stood on the roof of the world. 🇮🇳
An #NSG team led by Maj Akhilesh Bhatt summited Mt Everest (8,848.86 m) on 23 May 2026.
Departing Delhi on 30 April, the team reached Everest Base Camp on 09 May and stood atop the world just fourteen days later — completing the mission from departure to summit in a remarkable twenty days, an unprecedented feat.
Ice. Thin air. Death-zone winds. Every step demanded courage. Every breath tested endurance. But the Black Cats climbed on — with grit, discipline and an unbreakable spirit.
Together, they carried the Tricolour and the pride of NSG to the highest point on Earth.
This historic achievement was made possible through relentless training, meticulous planning and the invaluable support and encouragement extended by the Ministry of Home Affairs throughout the expedition.
From Counter-Terror missions to the Summit of Everest — the Black Cats continue to prove that no challenge is beyond the resolve of India’s elite force.
