@FridgeGames101@RealBrittHughes No it’s not because it smuggles in assumptions about moral status of an unborn fetus. Using words like “murder” and “child” is just language games, again like the leftists do with “undocumented”.
It could possibly change my mind a bit. But the key question everyone must answer is, how much suffering is it worth? Is every life worth existing no matter the cost? Religious fundamentalists don’t want to reflect on the question honestly. They want morally grand stand and cast judgment cloaked in self-righteousness .
@Skeuleos You would campaign against miscarriage by marshaling all the resources of society to develop medical technology to prevent miscarriage. This is what we do with devastating diseases, like cancer. Pro-lifers do no such thing and don't even discuss such a thing.
@Skeuleos They don’t grieve it as something on a massive scale. They don’t say things like, “we need to devote all our societal resources to ending this tragedy”, like we do with diseases.
If extreme pro lifers are so certain that life begins at conception, why don’t they grieve the massive loss of life all the time from miscarriage. Why aren’t they doing everything in their power to medically prevent miscarriage? According to them, a naturally occurring tragedy on massive scale is occurring all the time and I don’t see any discussion of it. In fact, this deep “tragedy” is often something that the parents are completely unaware of.
