Understanding UX and UI concepts is very useful with interior design and has helped me tremendously this past month. You have to think about both function and design.
I really enjoyed watching Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio. It had such a great detailed design throughout and reminded me how much art is used in the tiniest forms. I like to look at my own work in that way as well, not just focused on the big picture, but also the smaller ones.
