@Yeenie_Mcbeenie@_TheSmartAlec1 I think not quite. It's likely he wouldn't come out in the story, but the mere idea of any queer connotations (specifically trans given a boy witch) scared them enough to change it into something more "marketable".
@bornposting There's a lot about this era that can be said "in hindsight", but the decision to package the show to Disney as 2 seasons and a spin-off instead of just 3 seasons really set off a domino that led to now.
@TharriesYT They feel more fully formed, even with their flaws.
It's weird, I can feel there was definitely a shift from the specials to the series proper. Maybe it's because he originally wanted to do the Specials alone, maybe his heart wasn't fully into the Gatwa era, idk
Anthony Bourdain: “…the world is, in fact, filled with mostly good and decent people who are simply doing the best they can. Everybody, it turns out, is proud of their food (when they have it). They enjoy sharing it with others (if they can). They love their children...”
The Knicks win have sealed the Mandate of Heaven for Zohran Mandani, the likes of which we have never seen given to any American politician, and may never see again
And his next film is him finally wanting to do a western...
RP1 gets rightfully shit on, but I don't think people really get how much it essentially made him reckon with his age.
Ready Player One really was the beginning of the late stage Spielberg era we're in rn. It's him grappling with the 80s Blockbuster era he helped start, giving it one last hoorah before fully moving on.
I hate to call it his Twilight years cause its morbid and he’s still kickin' and makin' films, but after RP1, he does his first musical and one of his childhood favorites, a semi-autobiography, and now like RP1, does a career cultimation on his alien films like Close Encounters.
@GhidorahJoe@bornposting I'd say it'll be back by '28 or '29, the BBC has more of a vested interest in the show than the 80s, and I think three or four years is enough of a gap for people to forget the past and get excited again.
Michael Mann's MANHUNTER.
THE FINAL CUT.
StudioCanal is unleashing a brand new 4K restoration in select US theaters on July 24.
"The ultimate immersive version" of the film.
@jokergatack@bornposting This is true, but I'd say that even more successful than Transformers is TMNT, in that each iteration is so unique from the last that every generation has "their" turtles. And one that doesn't really have to worry about catering to a GenOne crowd like Transformers does.
@TrilbeeReviews I wonder how much of a rest will be done naturally or more a rest comes as a byproduct of them figuring out logistics of new partner/new showrunners/new Doctor and then filming.
