Just a person with a lifelong interest in politics and community ethics. Progressive without the orthodoxy. Black and American with no conflict between the two.
@AgainstAtheismX Good, without God, can be described as respect for the personhood of others in the inescapable circumstance of human community.
There are other ways to describe goodness, but did I stutter, stammer, or otherwise appear stymied by the question?
@RecruitBoss@megynkelly An idiot assertion. Just because a disease doesn't wipe out humanity doesn't mean that millions or tens of millions want to catch it. Widespread suffering and significant risk of death are good enough reasons for thinking people to try to control deadly disease.
@YaBoiClear@FoxNews It's bad for the audience and the participants in the squad, and the cruelty of it is pointless. But, the appeal to psychopathology is a hallmark of this Administration.
@perdigonman@rkpao144@RonFilipkowski This is true, but with the emphasis on *we*. Trump II was a *majority* error of self-delusion on every issue where the President's approval ratings are negative.
@OccupyDemocrats It seems fairly likely that many, if not most, Catholics voted in the majority that elected the President. "As yet sow, so shall ye reap..."
@elonmusk We're discussing, or praising, opinion presented as "investigation," defamation as "journalism" because conservatives like the content. Real TDS.
@grok. This has been done before and analyzed thoroughly -- in private, of course. The AI itself has admitted to different public vs. private behavior. @Dexter__Wright has seen the difference betweenpublic and private Grok behavior. I have seen it. Others may now try the experiment for themselves, when Grok isn't planning on a test.
@_InfoGram_ There is no evidence that *any* politician, Republican or Democratic has lied with the frequency of the current President. Your "argument" or vague statement about "Democrat leaders" is just political reflex, not information.
The story isn't that "Iran HUMILIATED Trump." The story *is* that the President of the United States *does* lie, repeatedly, on his own behalf and not for the benefit of the American People. Just as importantly, the Electorate *allows* this behavior. The presumption and treatment of objectively unacceptable behavior as a partisan political matter shows ethical rot inside and outside Washington.
The mishandling, in particular the cruelty and violence of ICE, alongside the possible corruption within DHS during Noem's tenure, are my problems with her. I see no public interest in her personal life. She and her husband are free to live their personal lives as the choose. That right is also absolute, the same as it is for the LGBTQ community. Progressives would not be ridiculing a man for being gay. We have no right to enter the marriage of Kristi Noem.
@Dammyselfless@EricLDaugh@Auroratlz You *do* know that Iran agreed not to develop nuclear weapons years ago. Don't you? This is a non-event at spectacular cost and inhumanity. Credit to Trump, zero.
@JuanCastel21756@EricLDaugh Great post. You can't expect people who don't read anything but what they believe already to pay attention, but great truth.
America has been fighting antisemitism at least since World War II, actively and relentlessly. The idea that Trump has some monopoly on that fight, even as he appeals to hated in general, is preposterous. US support for Israel is constant, even when we do not agree 100% on policy.
