Not all Christians believe it is impossible. According to 1 Corinthians 7:29-31, those who could live like Jesus possess the following qualities:

1. Uncanny sense of the times (the appointed time has grown very short). Only the 5 foolish virgins were caught unprepared at the eleventh hour.

2. Undivided devotion to the Lord (those who have wives live as though they had none). They won't let family stuff or worldly anxieties hold them back.

3. Unfazed by trials (those who mourn as though they were not mourning). They personify the power of Christ's resurrection.

4. Undistracted by temporal success (those who rejoice as though they were not rejoicing). They don't get comfortable. They keep going.

5. Unattached to earthly possessions (those who buy as though they had no goods). They use things but love people. They know they will be naked when they leave this world.

6. Undefiled by the world (those who deal with the world as though they had no dealings). They are in the world but not of the world. They don't conform to the pattern or values of this world.

7. Unfettered convictions in God's plan (the present form of this world is passing away). They prefer eternal dwellings and inheritance.

Basically, they are not like those when the seed (Word of God) fell among thorns. The cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. They are the good soil, who hear the word, understand it and bear fruit - thirty, sixty, hundredfold.

From the messy and distorted spelling, I quickly could tell it is Polish.

After reading the first few translated sentences, I immediately concluded that the ending was going to be brutal.

As I read on, I pleasantly found it objective and positive.

Towards the end, I suddenly sense the joy, the adventure, and the deep affection of their relationship.

Interestingly, there was no mention of offspring, which was wisely left out of their equation.

Z moją żoną nie łączy mnie już nic.

Każdy terapeuta ze śniadaniowej telewizji wystawiłby naszemu małżeństwu akt zgonu. Znajomi pewnie się zastanawiają, kiedy ogłoszę rozwód.

Kocham tę kobietę bardziej niż 20 lat temu!

I kiedy wieczorem opowiada mi o rzeczach, które kompletnie mnie nie interesują, słucham jej z przyjemnością, której nie tłumaczy żaden poradnik.

Bo przez te 20 lat zrozumiałem coś, co przeczy wszystkiemu, co wciskają nam media.

Wspólne pasje to nie budulec związku. To dekoracja. Ludzie po latach idą różnymi drogami, w różnym tempie i to nie jest awaria. Tak wygląda życie.

Prawdziwy budulec jest inny. Chcesz dla drugiej osoby lepiej niż dla siebie. Jej potrzeby stawiasz nad swoje. Wolisz dawać, niż brać. Jeśli tego nie ma, nie uratują was nawet identyczne playlisty.

Więc jeśli twoja druga połówka to twoje przeciwieństwo, przestań to naprawiać. Może właśnie tam mieszka wasz sekret.

Nie musicie kochać tych samych rzeczy.
Wystarczą te same wartości, ten sam kierunek, szacunek do różnic i troska o drugą połowę większa niż o siebie.

I na koniec coś, co zrozumiałem dopiero niedawno...

Przez 20 lat moja żona każdego dnia miała powody, żeby wybrać inaczej. Innego człowieka, inne życie, inny świat; bliższy jej gór niż mojego betonu.
Mimo to każdego dnia wybierała to samo... mnie.

Miłość to nie jest coś, co się czuje. To coś, co się codziennie wybiera.
Od 21 lat jestem czyimś wyborem i jestem z tego naprawdę dumny...

Having an accurate and adequate understanding of the kingdom of God, particularly the kingdom of heaven in Matthew, can help one to have a better grasp of Revelation.
