GOG shared a clear statement on digital ownership after Sony announced the end of physical discs.
They said that even if a game vanishes from the GOG storefront, it never leaves your library. This is how purchased games should work.
“Even if a game vanishes from the GOG storefront, it never leaves your library. Exactly as digital ownership ought to be.”
@explorer09_kc@futurism In certain situations it can help. Like when people make LoRA of people styles. The only way to do that is to fune tune a model using their work. Like about 100 or so pieces
@JeandreGerber@djpain1 You still won't be able to compete. Most of these bigger companies still have more money and resources. Plus if every creative does the samething you run into the problem of a flood of content most people won't be able to keep up with. Only a select few will be able to be seen
This by far the dumbest take I have seen. You speak as if artists aren't just regular people who develop a skill over years of practice and failure. We are complaining about the clear exploitation of our data being used to train a product.
