@MarleyBlonsky@unboundgravel Thanks for the recap. Congratulations on your finish. It was a tough day out there and everyone who attempted it should be super proud.
@meandertail Haha, I stupidly said, “hey, you’re <his name> from YouTube” at an expo once. He was very gracious.
At least I restrained myself from following with “you’re shorter than you look in your videos.”
@DrRachaelF Who thought that up? The oldest Gen-Xer was seven when Watergate happened and half of us weren’t born yet. Challenger is probably it, but I always go with M-TV. It was the beginning of the switch to the technology world.
@EllieYellu@NeolithicSheep Here’s a video of the researcher who did the large double blind study discussing her results.
TL; DR up to 2,000 IU is fine. Might help depending on your current situation. Aside from that, no shown benefit.

@PurelyNumbers@porkrind I do forensic accounting, charged by the hour. By the time someone gets to me, they are in trouble. My original point was some business owners just don’t see the value in proper accounting so they don’t want to pay for it. Many of them never see consequences.
@PurelyNumbers@porkrind My business is fixing broken books, so I never get to start with clean books. I was just relaying the reasons why the business owners I have met get into the spot they are in.
@PurelyNumbers@porkrind Let’s say it costs $25K to fix three years of bad books. That’s still cheaper than hiring a knowledgeable bookkeeper for three years, if you can find one.
@PurelyNumbers@porkrind Business owners do not see the value in good books because they can’t read them anyway. There is no immediate consequence for a bad set of books. It’s not until they have to get a loan or are audited that they care.
@ChristnNitemare@KillerMartinis “Shacking” according to ChatGPT:
Living together without being married, especially in a romantic or sexual relationship
“Dancing" or "partying" in certain contexts, particularly in relation to reggae music
A vulgar slang term used to refer to sexual intercourse
@PurelyNumbers I became comfortable with it once I didn’t care anymore whether I got the business or not. I’m way too busy already, so I’m actually relieved when people turn me down.
