@FuentesUpdates I really don’t care about the historical accuracy portion of the conversation, but the movie just looks like ass. Every shot Ive seen looks ai generated, and the celebrity casting takes me out of the film entirely.
Not really bothered though, most of Nick’s media takes are trash
@Khorgnir Now it’s just feels like every character is an idiot for not knowing what every player has known for 2+ years and that they can’t put the pieces together.
@Khorgnir The problem is that there’s a massive disconnect between what we as players know and what the characters in game know.
And this isn’t a new thing (they revealed Argus a whole year before the ToS cinematic) but at least back then the reveal itself was cool.
@Humanitydh It’s definitely a lot more than 3, but I get the sentiment. The fact that if you want ce, you either have to raid 5 days a week or prog the entire tier kinda blows.
The Nazis are a sacred idol to the liberal order. But instead of worshiping, they hate them. They are trying to be the opposite of whatever they think the Nazis were.
And they give them an undeserved spiritual power. That's why they have to destroy every swastika they used in a ritualistic fashion. Allowing any symbol to survive could spawn more Nazis out of the ether. People are very religious even when they are adamant that they aren't.
Like as an outsider it comes across as insecurity. Like they’re so unconfident in their ideas they need to write in a way to retcon anything new in case it isn’t immediately well received.
This is why I lost any interest in WoW lore years ago. The writers seem so unwilling to commit to the decisions they make, there’s always some back door “well it’s just this characters pov” or “they aren’t a trustworthy narrator” or it’s so vague that it doesn’t mean anything.
With this clarification, I think the intent of the haranir reveal is to introduce a sense of mystery back into the lore. What was previously fully explained is now meant to be uncertain with multiple contradicting explanations and no one in or out of universe knows the truth. (1)
@Ainastrasza The reason people are starting to get rose tinted over SL is because it was during the middle of Covid, when way more people were playing and the game was way more active.
Everyone wants to tax the rich and corporations more when the real problem is that the federal government subsidizes basically everything. It's an ouroborous. "Tax people to subsidize them to tax them again." How about we just stop giving everybody free money? How about that?
@warcraftstats A better introduction to end game content for newer players. I’ve seen so many people get to max level for the first time, get overwhelmed with the amount of content and no way to parse what is actually worth doing, and give up.
