Because Tadej Pogačar not only won again with 80+ km solo, but also set a new average speed record for the race. And not even by a little margin.

The previous fastest editions were in 2025 with 40.705 km/h avg. speed and in 2023 with 40.636 km/h avg. speed. And now? Absolutely crazy 42.700 km/h avg. speed.
