Why do people keep pretending like 99% of video game history wasn't created without AI?

I've years of my own hand written code I can reference/copy pasta from. Not everyone uses nor needs to use(nor wants to use) AI for coding.

Here's the thing: literally everyone is using AI now. If not directly on code or assets, it's as a feedback mechanism, QA, validation, review, or some other critical part of the pipeline. There is no such thing as an "AI free" software now.
