@RichyRi28081938 I don’t think ‘move’ alone is enough of an argument without a ‘where’. Toton or similar would have been something we’d regret. Clubs aren’t trying to move to out of town anymore.
@RichyRi28081938 FWIW I have little hope of it ever happening, as I don’t think the councils will get their acts together. But a bigger CG is possible - and that as a location remains as much a ‘guarantee’ as you’re going to get commercially. Move to the wrong location could be a disaster (Toton)
@IAmtheRedeemer@RichyRi28081938@wallyweird Where would you put a new ground? Man City decent location now surrounding are has had 100s millions sovereign wealth fund; Spurs on essentially same site; Arsenal still in prime London location; Sunderland close to centre; Everton more central (although transport issues).
@TG2872 Michael’s Total Football Ajax; That ‘great’ Liverpool team. And Nottingham Forest. It was so ‘easy’ no other team of Forest’s size did it before or after what is regarded as an iconic era of those clubs.
@danscapephoto@maxbscott The interesting thing for us is that we don’t ‘need’ to improve the first 11 - that should be an aim of course. But a step change comes by improving the second 11.
@danscapephoto@maxbscott It appeared he wanted Ange once Nuno was out, not the other way round no? Marinakis’s is our dance with the devil, the driver of the last 5 years success and drama. Substantially more good for us than bad for us though? We’ve got a chance of another good season next. A chance…
@jjmeemaa@danscapephoto Agreed re Wolves and re other clubs losing managers (an opportunity maybe for us to benefit from stability). It’s more understanding why he’s been short term almost everywhere and what’s needed to make it work longer (if not long) term.
@jjmeemaa@danscapephoto He’s done a terrific job the last few months, so deserves the chance. It needs deep thought and planning on what will enable success. Or we’re just back at the pre-Cooper roulette table again.
@jjmeemaa@danscapephoto In any profession there are people who are expert interims but terrible fill time employees; and vice versa. It doesn’t make either bad. But if you want the interim to be long term, particularly in an environment when almost everything else is in constant flux, it needs more than
