A Yazidi woman, after escaping from ISIS, set the veil that she was forced to wear on fire.
Because that veil represented abduction, rape, and enslavement.
@PeterSweden7 Someone I know moved to Sweden decades ago, worked there, +now has cancer. The state is covering all his treatment + living costs, even though his family in Morocco is wealthy + fully able to support him. Why doesn’t Sweden verify whether a person’s relatives can help?
In 1964, Anthony Hopkins composed a beautiful waltz called And the Waltz Goes On. It was never performed, and over time the sheet music was forgotten.
Nearly 50 years later, his wife found the music and sent it to conductor André Rieu, who arranged for it to be performed in Vienna in 2011.
Imagine spending decades believing something you created would never be heard... then sitting in the audience as it comes to life for the very first time.
It's a reminder that not every dream happens when we want it to. Sometimes life has its own timing.
What's a dream you've held onto, no matter how long it's taken?
@RealShahriqKhan Since you’re in Fort Worth, there’s a beautiful Catholic parish (St. Benedict) that offers the traditional Latin Mass daily—the same form used for centuries.

You’re welcome anytime if you’re ever curious. God bless your work!
@RealShahriqKhan Brother, glory to God for your conversion & the fruit among Muslims. The Catholic Church holds the fullness of the faith Christ founded (apostolic succession, the Eucharist, the Church faced Islam for 1,400 years). Would love to see you come home one day. Praying for your work.🙏
@al80786@eternalbread_ Even if some non-canonical gospels date to the 2nd century, the Church discerned the four Gospels by apostolic origin, orthodoxy, and continuous liturgical use—not mere chronology. Thomas, Mary, & Judas promote Gnostic ideas alien to the apostolic deposit of faith.
@al80786@eternalbread_ The Church didn’t choose books arbitrarily. The canon was formed by the earliest Christian communities who preserved the texts rooted in apostolic eyewitnesses. Later writings like Thomas or Barnabas appeared centuries afterward and weren’t part of the faith handed down.
