Today we performed our piece ‘Waves’ inspired by Richard Alston’s style and choreographic approach.

It was nothing short of a breathtaking performance from LACD and one of our best pieces since the company started.

LACD are busy preparing for the Making Moves Regional Platform at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

Making Moves is a national youth dance programme that brings together young dancers from across the region to create and perform new contemporary work.

Today our Year 10 GCSE Dance students attended the Inside Phoenix: Shadows with Phoenix Dance Theatre.

They watched Shadows, learnt repertoire, took class and analysed choreography, themes, lighting, costume and music — bringing this GCSE set work to life. 💜 #GCSEDance

Blending strength, rhythm and storytelling, this piece celebrated culture, connection and the joy of movement.
