On February 3, 2026, Bitcoin’s Percent Supply in Profit fell to 54.92% after spending at least 90 consecutive days above 55%.

Bitcoin traded at $75,662.

By July 30, exactly 177 days later:

Bitcoin: $64,716 Return: -14.5%

I moved every previous signal forward exactly 177 days and measured Bitcoin’s returns from that matched point.

Bitcoin was lower at day 177 in four of the five completed historical episodes, not all five.

The November 2019 episode was the exception, with Bitcoin up 41.7%.

The median move between the original signal and day 177 was -39.8%.

But once the clock reached day 177, the forward-return distribution flipped:

90 days later:

5 of 5 positive
Median return: +11.5%
Range: +2.4% to +25.7%

180 days later:

5 of 5 positive
Median return: +63.2%
Range: +21.5% to +123.0%

1 year later:

5 of 5 positive
Median return: +119.4%
Range: +64.3% to +571.9%

2 years later:

5 of 5 positive
Median return: +348.5%
Range: +209.5% to +10,959.9%

The 2011 cycle massively inflates the average, which is why the median matters more.

The original 55% signal appears to identify the beginning of a major cost-basis reset. It does not identify the precise bottom.

Waiting 177 days changes the question.

Instead of asking whether the market has entered distress, we are asking what happened after it had spent nearly 6 months redistributing coins, repricing holders and absorbing the initial damage.

The historical sample suggests that the first signal (February 2026) measured damage.

The second clock measured digestion.

And once the digestion phase matured, Bitcoin’s long-horizon forward asymmetry improved dramatically:
