Watch: This A320 Struggled to climb just after a bird strike
✈️If an aircraft suffers a bird strike during the takeoff roll after V1, the crew is committed to fly. At that speed, rejecting the takeoff can be more dangerous than continuing. If the strike causes an engine failure, the aircraft is designed and certified to safely continue the takeoff, climb away on the remaining engine, and return for landing using established one-engine-inoperative procedures.
This is what the iconic Yellow Spirit airline shutdown looks like from above. Many will think that this is an Airport, but it is Arizona Desert aircraft Boneyard which has become the final resting place for dozens of Spirit Airlines. Aviation can be brutal sometimes. From takeoffs every single minute to sitting in the scotching sun, waiting to be sold, leased or dismantled for spares! 🟡🟡
✈️ In 1982, a British Airways Boeing 747 cruising at 37,000 feet flew into an invisible volcanic ash cloud over Indonesia. One by one, all four engines flamed out. For several terrifying minutes, the jumbo jet became a 400-ton glider, silently descending with no engine power. The crew fought to restart the engines while 240 passengers looked into the darkness, unaware of just how serious the situation had become.
The interesting part is how calm and composed the Captain was. He made one of the most famous announcements in aviation history
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem. All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them going again. I trust you are not in too much distress.”
The crew managed to restart the engines and safely landed the aircraft in Jakarta.

A Delta Air Lines Airbus A319 operating flight DL1076 from Atlanta to Chicago appears to have been hit by fireworks while on final approach for landing.
@pakmann2k I better stay on my sit not knowing what is happening outside. Watching it live would make me nervous and sick, unaware if we're gonna make it alive. My POV
WATCH: This could have ended in disaster!
✈️ An aircraft lands with its nose landing gear missing, leaving almost no margin for error. The crew remained calm as they executed one of aviation's most demanding emergency landings, balancing the aircraft and holding the nose off the runway for as long as possible before bringing everyone safely to a stop. A remarkable demonstration of skill, discipline, and training from the pilots
Imagine looking up from Manhattan and seeing nine red jets streak across the skyline.🇺🇸✈️
A spectacular tribute marking 250 years of American independence with one of the world's most iconic aerobatic teams.
Happy 250th, America. 🇺🇸
250 years of history. 250 years of innovation. And today, aviation proudly carries that legacy across the skies.
This Boeing 787 commemorative livery is a fitting tribute to a nation that continues to inspire the world.
Can you spot the detached wheels rolling dangerously?
This turboprop arrived into a rough terrain, and the landing gear paid the price! Two wheels detached instantly and kept moving at a very high Velocity, turning the landing zone into a hazard field.
The VC-25B test aircraft (25-3200) took center stage in a ceremonial pass above the National Mall, escorted by four F-22 Raptors during today's Great American State Fair aerial tribute. 🇺🇸✈️

Most people don't know what happens when a jet lands this hard
✈️ Was it wind shear? Gusts? Low-level turbulence? A heavy landing weight? The touchdown itself is only the final result of many factors. After inspection, the results can go either way. The aircraft can be cleared with no defects, only routine checks to confirm everything stayed within structural limits or in more serious cases, aircraft can be grounded for detailed NDT (non-destructive testing) to inspect internal structure not visible externally
