Breaking News: Since the North Andover Police Department doesn’t want to be transparent about who made the comment from their official Facebook page, I’ll go ahead and act as their unofficial spokesperson while their social media is conveniently deleted for the time being.
Let’s introduce you to former Lieutenant Daniel Lenan. He left a comment while acting as the North Andover Police under my post about suing them.
He also left another comment under that same post under his Facebook name (Daniel Paul). I screenshotted it before I deleted it because this kind of behavior has no place coming from anyone—never mind someone tied to law enforcement, let alone someone using an official police page. I also reached out to him for comment and to confirm something I already knew, and he failed to respond. (Pictured below)
In that comment, he said: “Her life is worth $0 the same value she put on it. Tried to k*ll herself. ‘Suicide by cop’ was selfish. Yet killing herself with a four-month-old wasn’t?? Officer tried to save her, and she threw him under the bus. She owes a debt not entitled to one. Get help.”
Pictured below is a picture of him, Daley, and Chief Gray when he got promoted to Lieutenant at the North Andover Police Department.
He was relieved on 6/19/2023 due to making a racially charged comment to another officer. He also denied requested shift swaps without proper justification and was found to be untruthful when denying statements, in violation of multiple North Andover Police Department policies.
He was also disciplined earlier in his career with a suspension for conduct unbecoming. This information was provided today through a FOIA request in response to who had access to this information and full control over the police department’s social media.
So yes, this just turned even more embarrassing for the Town of North Andover, and it really shows that Chief Gray has absolutely no control over his department if an employee who was relieved three years ago still appears to have access to all social media accounts and is still acting as the voice of North Andover Police online.
Once again, shame on you, Chief Gray. Get control of your out-of-control department, or do what the people deserve and want and resign.

@Matt_Pinner Got every single one! Granted, I’m mid sixties, but I’ve done or had/used everything!! I also used stenography as a secretary, then as a paralegal. Old folks understand.
