@LowesMedia At minimum, Terry should be compensated for the eight weeks he was unable to work. Instead, Lowes dodged the issue hoping it would disappear.
To this day, Lowes has not responded, and his personal belongings remain inside his locker at Lowes. Shame on you Lowes
@LowesMedia It was very clear that Lowes was treating him differently because of his disability. They ignored us even when we tried to advocate for Terry. In addition, the customer that had the “exchange” with Terry admitted his shame about his actions towards Terry.
@LowesMedia Lowes’ action or lack of any action is unacceptable and even worse than termination. They completely ignored Terry. They kept him on as an employee but refused to schedule him for any shifts. This left him with no income and no way to qualify for unemployment .

Our 21-year-old son with Autism has been employed by Lowes Hardware in Huntersville, NC since 2017. In December 2020 a customer harassed Terry, calling him a "f---ing r----d. Subsequently, an incident occurred, and Terry was asked to leave and not return

We are only asking that Terry be treated as a decent human being given his impeccable history with the company. At minimum, Terry should be compensated for the eight weeks he was unable to work. Instead, Lowes dodged the issue hoping it would disappear. (5/?)
