Argyle entered the final race of Friday's area meet knowing it had to finish within one place of Aledo to win the girls team championship.

Blair Mosley made up one place on the last leg of the 4x400 relay to clinch the title by a single point.

Argyle wins the girls team championship at the District 5-5A/6-5A area track meet.

Argyle won by a single point with 135 points to Aledo's 134.

It came down to the final race, the 4x400-meter relay, where Argyle got the second-place finish it needed with Aledo taking first.
