@klusterfk10@Just_ebube Well, here's the conundrum. What makes you think they realize they are "living in hell" as you put it. If they are so underdeveloped, you're the only one who is going to realize it. Like they say, ignorance is bliss and most DS children I've met are happy.
@BlayzeKarp@NDRepublicans Don't think for a second doctors aren't aware of them. But where would the instant money come from if they did referrals instead of abortions.
@Holden114 It is selfish. If they were unable to face the challenge of a DS child then there is another alternative. There are private adoption agencies that specialize in DS adoption and there is an actual waiting list of people longing to adopt them, so yes, in every case it's selfish.
@BlayzeKarp@NDRepublicans There are private adoption agencies right now that link expectant mothers of DS babies with those wanting to adopt them. And the couples or persons who want to adopt them are numerous.
@McJuggerNuggets "As for us, we made a difficult decision that we believe in the long-run will be beneficial for our family. Thankfully, we had a choice." This right here shows why, not for the sake of the child aborted or the difficulties it would face but for you. They have a word for that.
@isa2001m And let's clarify so you can't come back and say that's reason enough to end their life.
Broad population data on child maltreatment indicates that children with Down syndrome represent a very small fraction—estimated at around 0.1%—of total abuse cases.
@icicestpepsi About 80% to 90% of children with Down syndrome live to be adults. I'm sorry this decision was ever forced on them but they made it a decision in the first place based off something that may never happen. I can speak on it because I had that scare with my 2nd and I chose life.
@SaintEcclesia@mark_petereit@patristicpill I said work out your faith. Didn't say work for salvation. Ie in your mind you take stock of whether your faith is living or dead. Asking yourself, am I growing? Am I bearing fruit. Obviously, you dont do this since you keep saying I'm saying you have to work for salvation.
@SaintEcclesia@mark_petereit@patristicpill No one said anything about working for salvation. Faith without works is dead. Its a question of whether you have a living faith or a dead faith.
@SaintEcclesia@mark_petereit@patristicpill Working it out is a consistent thing otherwise you will fall away. The working it out is taking inventory of your life. Are you growing in rhe Spirit and in the fruits? God doesn't leave unfinished business and promises to refine us like silver.
@SaintEcclesia@mark_petereit@patristicpill That is not what Im saying. Working out your salvation is for you to have assurance. Faith without works is dead. You know them by their fruits etc. It is for your assurance. Ie, which ground was the seed actually planted on.
@StormNightsong@rugbychick But you had proof the children were real. It's not the same comparison. You asked for proof there was a God. I was simply telling you the fact men would die for God is proof in and of itself.
@SaintEcclesia@mark_petereit@patristicpill So Paul lied when he said work out your salvation with fear and trembling? I'm sorry but I think we do because I surely don't want to be at that gate and Jesua tell me I never knew Him.
@damnidc__ I commend him for admitting it. You have no clue where the discomfort comes from. Maybe he's afraid his daughter will go back to school and tell a teacher he bathed her and although innocent the teacher will ask questions and make assumptions based off her answers.
