1) True
2) True but it does allow for last minute scoring challenges. We do stop the clock for high school and youth games.
3) Not possible. The “floating line” is because the defense is allowed to move. They are currently exploring changes to the offside rule that states the entirety of the attacking player must be offside instead of a part of the body. This would eliminate most of the complaints.
4) Not really an issue most of the time and really does control bad conduct.
5) You get league and tournament points for a tie. 3 for a win, 1 for a tie, none for a loss. League champions are based on highest points.

“Before I formed you in the womb.” This phrase should fill you with a sense of destiny. It’s your spiritual birthright. God has ordained your days, ordered your footsteps, and prepared good works in advance. And he did it before you were even conceived. The journey can be uncomfortable but the destination is the prize.
The irony of destiny is that it’s rarely discerned at the time. Sometimes it’s not even revealed until after we die. David may have reigned over a kingdom of millions, but his psalms have inspired billions and will continue to do so for eternity. That is David’s longest legacy, whether he knew it at the time or not. I doubt he understood the power that would come from those inspired words of song. Your and my greatest influence might be posthumous as well. Your greatest influence might be your children or church or charitable activity that outlive you but whatever it is, it will certainly carry on long after your exit. The words you speak and actions you take may inspire those you’ve never even met. Choose wisely.
And for the uncertain ones, just because something isn’t part of your life plan doesn’t mean it’s not a part of your destiny. There are so many things that can and do “go wrong” in life. Some of these things can certainly seem “unfair”. But what is fair and who gets to decide? The sun shines on both the bad and the good and the rain falls on the just and unjust. This is part of living in a broken and fallen world that will affect us constantly. The totality of life is short of days and full of trouble but how we persevere will define our legacy and our testimony. Without me even knowing it, God has been fulfilling his call on my life. My job is to obey God with a voice, with my hands and feet. God takes it from there. And the same is true for you. God is working his plan whether you know it or not. Trials and tribulations will come but our faith in Him and our love for one another will define us and He will surely be glorified.
God is working his good, pleasing, and perfect plan for your life in a thousand ways you aren’t even aware of. Everything in your past is preparation for something in your future. Do you see it? Open your eyes because God wastes nothing. Even when you have a setback, God has already prepared your recovery. The God who works all things together for good will leverage every experience, every skill, every mistake, and every bit of knowledge you have acquired. Sometimes mountains move all at once and at others it is one stone at a time but if God wants the mountains to move they most assuredly will. This should inspire you for whether in this life or eternity, the imperfections will be made perfect and the corruptible will put on incorruption and His perfect plan will be fulfilled.
Your destiny predates you. Before you were even conceived, God had a plan for your life. And he is in the process of fulfilling it today. Through happiness and sadness, good and bad we are to persevere and have comfort in knowing the Lord of all things has a plan and it is a good plan.

The World Cup has turned America into a discovery channel for the rest of the world.
And they are not handling it well.
In the best possible way.
Here is what they are discovering:
Free public restrooms. Europeans pay every time.
Free water at every restaurant. Just appears.
Free refills. Coffee. Sodas. Iced tea. Unlimited.
Free chips and salsa before you even order.
Free warm bread with dinner.
Ice in drinks like civilized people.
Air conditioning everywhere. Not a moral debate. A fact.
Parking lots attached to the actual place you are going.
Drive throughs where the food comes to the car while you sit in it.
Ranch dressing by the gallon.
Tex-Mex that cannot be explained only experienced.
Dental care that actually works.
Buccee’s. There are no words for Buccee’s.
Then they found the grocery stores.
Five of them within one mile.
Each one the size of an aircraft hangar.
Burgers. Steaks. Brisket. Ribs. Pulled pork. Lamb. Veal. Every cut of every animal ever domesticated by human civilization available in one refrigerated aisle at ten in the morning on a Tuesday.
The Germans stood in the meat section for forty five minutes.
In silence.
Processing.
They finally understand why we do not have trains.
We have roads wide enough for the cars we actually drive.
Parking lots the size of small European countries.
Airports in every city worth visiting.
Why would we need trains.
The Germans are taking ranch home by the bottle.
The Dutch found queso and briefly lost the ability to speak.
The Japanese are photographing HEB like it is the Louvre.
The Czechs are weeping in West, Texas.
Welcome to America.
Everything is free, enormous, air conditioned, comes with chips, and has five grocery stores within a mile that will sell you any cut of any animal you have ever imagined.
Write that down. 🦋
