@SirEricD@iboboprince336 And to take that further, two of those Shield members have gone on to lead successful groups of their own, which includes The Bloodline, which spawned two more world champions
They weren't just all successful, they were the 3 biggest stars in wrestling for a good 5 years.
@SirEricD@iboboprince336 The Shield was 3 rookies who went on to win a collective total of 19 world championships.
And no other group has done what The Bloodline has done, and continues to do. Because who could?
I'm all about a debate, though, so I'd love to hear who you think they're patterned after.
@TheWWEReject@iboboprince336 Again, nWo was revolutionary, but Austin was already Stone Cold. He cut the Austin 3:16 promo before the formation of the nWo.
The notion that WWE doesn't move away from the cartoonish New Generation without the nWo simply isn't true. The nWo just sped up the process.
@TheWWEReject@iboboprince336 You said all of that as if I said anything to the contrary.
Also, The Yeti was a WCW thing, so I'm not even sure why you brought that up.
WWE was already headed in the direction of the Attitude Era, the success of the nWo was what finally put it in full swing.
@TheWWEReject@iboboprince336 Austin's push had nothing to do with the nWo. He was already catching fire - and the Rock's rise was because of his feud with Austin.
nWo was hugely impactful, but it wasn't responsible for everything in that era.
@SirEricD@iboboprince336 Had me until you turned your nose up at The Shield and the Bloodline.
All your comment tells me is that you don't really get what those two groups did, or are doing.
@alucardsfate@CoreybElite That isn't "literally" what he said, actually.
He said that Hangman vs Swerve "is," meaning the feud is comparable.
Whether you or I agree with that or not is another story, but he never compared them as wrestlers, he compared the feud.
@lauracohuzy@rajmuker Try to remember, Trish was still brand new. She was only 7 mo in the business, 4 mo after her first match, and it was just her fourth singles match.
Lita was about 2 yrs in and was a fully-trained wrestler before she even got to WWE.
Point is, of course Lita led Trish around.
@DarkLordSoul@rajmuker Lol... During this time, there was a two year stretch where every world title match had Undertaker, The Rock, Triple H, and/or Austin.
If you don't like it, whatever, but have a decent excuse. Maybe wrestling isn't your thing anymore. 🤷♂️
@rajmuker Nor should we. The Attitude Era matched its time. That's fine, the vast majority of it is unwatchable, even embarrassing, now for anyone with any semblance of decency.
The fact that you took so much time and effort to essentially say "I miss boobies" is wild.
@davemeltzerWON Big difference between not failing and being successful.
AEW has zero net growth in nearly 8 years. The talent is phenomenal and the matches are fantastic. At some point you have to start looking at Tony Khan as the reason AEW is stagnant, from a business perspective.
@edgar_training@MattLech23 I think we'll see a **live action** feature-length AI film by the end of 2027. I have a feeling one of the secondary streamers will pull the trigger.
@thec0med1an@HawkEmDownChris Good call!!! I watched that every day after school religiously!
It was DuckTales, Jeopardy and Saved by the Bell. All great theme songs!
